Hollywood Wasteland is a web series about the end of the world in Los Angeles, coming in Spring 2010. Check out the teaser trailer to the latest Talenos Productions project.
It’s been a while since I last updated, as you can see now we have a twitter feed going on that should be updated much more frequently than the main posts. I’ll try to keep these for larger announcements, but feel free to follow us on twitter as well if that is your thing. You can find our page at http://www.twitter.com/talenosfilms
We’ve kept busy these last few months since we did our 48 Hour Film Project. We finished a short about human trafficking called Broken Dolls for our friends over at Bissonica Entertainment. We also tested out the Canon 7D with a new short directed by our friend Ellwyn Kaufman.
We’re in pre-production right now for a web series called Hollywood Wasteland. A comedy about the end of the world. We’re hoping to being production early next year and get a few episodes out on the web before spring roles around. You can get more information as that develops at its official and very blank (for now) website at www.hollywoodwasteland.net
If you live in the Minneapolis area you can catch the director’s cut version of “Last Wishes” on cable channel 6 at 7:30 PM on August 13. It’s part of the show Afterimage, which is a collection of shorts. It should be on somewhere near the middle of the episode. Thanks to Dan Mundt for getting us on the air.
In other news, we’ve wrapped on Broken Dolls, which is a film we’ve been working on with our friends from Bissonica. We’re now in the editing process and hope to have it done within the next couple of weeks.
We had a great time this weekend, and finished our 48 Hour Film Project entry only a couple of minutes before the deadline. The screening was last night at the Regency Fairfax Theaters in Los Angeles.
On Friday a news team followed our team to do a story on the 48 Hour Film Project. You can see the story here.
Our entry was titled “The Last Resort” with the following required elements.
Prop: Junk Mail
Character: Alex or Alexis Filbert, Champion
Dialogue: “How was I supposed to know?”
You can find the film here or as a link from our films page.

After taking a year off, the Talenos team is once again entering in the 48 Hour Film Project in Los Angeles. Our last entry in the contest was Orb, which we created after drawing the genre fantasy. Even though we haven’t made the film yet, our screening time has already been set and all the info should be below if you want to come out and see our film.
So, what exactly have we been up to? Well, we’ve been doing a few improv shorts to keep ourselves busy. We have 5 of these shot already, and we’re planning on launching them on their own website.
Because we come up with and film them in the same day, we’ve decided to name them “Waste of Time” shorts.
Talenos Productions has a new web host, so we’re working on a new site as well. We will be updating with links to all of our old projects and fill you in on projects in the future. There are a few things we are working on now that will hopefully be revealed shortly.
